The Position

• Develop, in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, European XFEL's first sustainability strategy by identifying priorities, benchmarking international best practices and recommending areas for future action.
• Establish and coordinate the sustainability reporting framework and prepare European XFEL's sustainability report.
• Coordinate the collection and analysis of sustainability-related data and monitor relevant sustainability legislation, reporting standards and best practices.
• Support the integration of sustainability into campus development, facility upgrades and operational activities by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate sustainability initiatives across the organization, promote awareness and engagement, and represent European XFEL in national and international sustainability networks.
• Prepare reports, presentations and briefing material for management, committees and other stakeholders.
