We are now looking to appoint a summer worker in the Research Coordination Office of the Science Directorate.
The Research Coordination Office is responsible for the administration functions required by the Science Directorate, including the User Office, which will take care of the logistical needs of visiting scientists when ESS is operational.
About the work
As summer worker as User Office Technical Writer your main areas of work will be to:
- Familiarise yourself with the user office software such that you are an expert user.
- Determine how to split up presentation of the software in a way that supports users with different levels of permission.
- Decide how to make a user guide that can be easily accessed and updated and conveniently teaches users how the software works.
- Prepare material that provides a user guide to support those working with the software to understand the features that are available.
About you
A suitable background for this work would be:
- Familiar with standard office software applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Enjoy working with computers and flexible to try investigate and learn about a new software tool with low supervision.
- Good attention to detail and ability to prepare text, figures and potentially video material to demonstrate a software tool.
- Good written and oral communications skills in English.

Duration & Location
This is a summer work position for 8 weeks. Planned start date is 1 June 2026 or per agreement.
Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
