Mer information
The European XFEL a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser facility, produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. DESY is a part of the Helmholtz International Beamline for Extreme Fields (HIBEF) consortium at the HED instrument to perform research in extreme conditions of temperature, pressure, and electromagnetic fields which leverage the peak brilliance, energy range, coherence, and time structure of European XFEL.
About your role:
As a beamline scientist in the DESY-HIBEF team you will:
- Ensure the user operation at the HED-HIBEF instrument at European XFEL
- Further develop the diffraction platforms for static high pressure research, dynamic laser compression with the DIPOLE 100X laser, and pulsed high magnetic fields at the HED-HIBEF instrument at European XFEL
- Have the opportunity to develop your own research activity in one of the above fields
- Actively shape the further scientific development of our user communities
