The HIPPIE beamline is located at the 3 GeV ring. Together with SPECIES beamline, it forms the “APXPS group”, which is focussed on the development of the Ambient Pressure X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy Program at MAX IV. The beamlines provide a wide range of sample environments for in situ and operando XPS and XAS across 4 instruments and numerous sample environments. The group consists of approximately 10 members including scientists, engineers and postdocs who are actively driving multiple in-house research/development projects, among which are time-resolved photoemission, electrochemistry, high-temperature corrosion, photocatalysis and thin-film deposition.
Would you like to work at one of the brightest lightsources in the world?
The HIPPIE beamline is looking for a scientist who will:
- Interact with and provide support for user groups in relation to their beamtimes
- Participate in the maintenance, development, commissioning of the HIPPIE beamline and its endstations
- Actively drive the development of one or more scientific projects, including within the topic of time-resolved APXPS, using the capabilities of the HIPPIE and SPECIES beamlines in collaboration with user groups.
