You will design, develop, install, and maintain radiation monitoring systems that ensure the safe operation of CERN’s accelerator complex and experiments. Working within the Radiation Protection Group, you will contribute to the deployment of detectors across CERN’s facilities, develop and commission safety-critical systems like CROME, and work on custom electronics and ASICs (such as ACCURATE) to process radiation data with high precision. Your work will be key to meeting strict performance, reliability, and regulatory standards, protecting people and the environment.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

  • You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
