Mer information

The CMS Quantum Computing group develops generative machine learning models for detector simulations, specifically the simulation of showers in calorimeters: Proof-of-principle models were successfully developed with methods of Quantum Machine Learning. In cooperation with the University partners the aim of this project ls to translate classical analysis and simulation algorithms into hybrid or even full quantum algorithms. The physics to be addressed belongs to the ErUM Community. ErUM stands for research for the universe and matter and brings together around 20,000 scientists from various fields in Germany: astroparticle physics, elementary particle physics, accelerator physics, research with neutrons, research with synchrotron radiation, research with nuclear probes and ion beams; hadron and nuclear physics as well as the council of German observatories
