Mer information
The Position
- Develop and apply rotational-invariant methods for x-ray scattering and single-particle imaging at XFELs, with a focus on biological and nanoengineered particles
- Advance theoretical and computational approaches for extracting and analyzing angular cross-correlation functions and rotational invariants in x-ray scattering
- Analyze and interpret experimental XFEL datasets—primarily from the European XFEL—and participate in relevant beamtimes and collaborative research projects with internal and external user groups
- Contribute to the development of in-house software for invariant-based structural analysis and disseminate research results through scientific publications, conference presentations, and a PhD thesis.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in physics or a related discipline
- A strong background in mathematics
- Programming skills (Python or C/C++ will be considered an asset)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong communication skills and an interest in collaborating with experimentalists and theorists
