As a Nuclear Dismantling Engineer, you will:
Coordinate the entire dismantling process of the radioactive components in the CERN Neutrino to Gran Sasso (CNGS) target area, including the pion production target, the respective focusing elements, the helium vessels as well as the concrete and iron shielding components;
Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of nuclear or chemical engineering or a related field.
Required experience in:
- Project coordination and execution of dismantling or decontamination of nuclear or particle accelerator installations, with experience in working in radioactive environment with risk of contamination;
- Preparation of Work and Dose Planning and return of experience in the execution of activities with risk of external and internal exposure to radiation;
- Decontamination techniques, applied to concrete and metallic surfaces;
- Design and licensing of nuclear or particle accelerator installations;
- Preparation of documentation to be shared with nuclear authorities
