ILL plays a central role in the design and fabrication of high-precision neutron detectors. The institute is also involved in major European projects, notably the ESS (European Spallation Source) in Sweden, one of the most ambitious scientific undertakings currently underway.

As part of this effort, we are recruiting a mechanical technician to join the ILL Detector Service team and contribute to the fabrication of a Multitube-type detector intended for the CSPEC instrument at ESS. This detector consists of 12 modules, each containing 32 proportional tubes measuring 3.5 meters in length.

Within the assembly workshop, you will take part in the various stages of the detector fabrication, working closely with the service’s engineers and technicians.
