As we continue our transition into Steady State Operations, ESS is now looking to appoint a skilled and proactive Group Leader to head our Mechanical Systems and Maintenance Services group within the Operations Division. In this critical role, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and development of mechanical systems – including water cooling, HVAC, and instrument air systems – to ensure their reliable functionality and compliance with required specifications.

As Group Leader, you will oversee of mechanical system operations while providing maintenance services to technical teams that support ESS’s cutting-edge scientific mission. You will manage a team of professionals, lead external contractor agreements, ensure seamless interfacing with other technical systems, and develop forward-looking operational frameworks such as the group’s on-call system.
