Within the ILL’s Projects and Techniques Division, the Design, Calculations and Construction Service is responsible, among other things, for designing assemblies, some of which are very complex, for projects being carried out in the Institute’s Science and Reactor Divisions.

Your tasks
1. Mechanical design:

  • Carry out technical feasibility studies.
  • Design mechanical parts and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Choose the right technical solutions.
  • Prepare drawings, diagrams and full sets of documentation.

2. Project management:

 

  • Assist with the drafting of technical specifications.
  • Monitor the manufacturing and assembly phases in collaboration with the subcontractors and ILL services concerned.
  • Organise and monitor work sites.

3. Coordination and communication:

  • Work with other ILL services to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems.

 

4. Technology watch:

  • Keep up to date with technological developments in the field of mechanical engineering.
  • Propose innovative solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
