As a Magnet Engineer, you will contribute to the development of the next generation of Nb3Sn magnets by:
- Improving the magnet finite element modelling through tolerance and stability analysis.
- Designing and fabricating mock-ups and small-scale experiments to validate modelling.
- Investigating long standing issues in Nb3Sn magnets.
Skills and/or knowledge
- FEM modelling knowledge;
You have a professional background in Engineering (or a related field) and have either:
- a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
