We are seeking a motivated mechatronics engineer to contribute to the North Area Consolidation (NA-CONS) program, focusing on renovating and enhancing Beam Intercepting Devices (BIDs) controls and algorithms to improve reliability, predictive maintenance, and monitoring tools for piquet interventions. You will support upgrade and commissioning activities during Long Shutdown 3, take part in the design, development and integration of control systems, participate in functional testing, and contribute to diagnostics and high-level software tools to ensure reliable and maintainable BID operation in CERN’s North Area.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

• You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
