Mer information
Within the framework of replacing Radio Frequency tube-based drivers with solid-state amplifiers of the Proton Synchrotron (PS), the fast control circuits also need renovation through FPGA-based VME cards. A prototype hardware for this system has recently been developed.
In this position, you will:
- Participate in designing the final version of the interlock board;
- Oversee FPGA programming;
- Conduct corresponding testing to elevate amplifier controls to a new level of flexibility and versatility;
- FPGA programming for a fast Radio Frequency shut-off protection system and the new gap relay control system for the 10MHz system of the Proton Synchroton.
Skills and/or knowledge
- Experience in FPGA programming:
- Knowledge of VHDL;
- Knowledge of C/C++.
- You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.
- Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
