You will help the EuXFEL’s Control Software group integrate hardware into the facility’s control system, Karabo, and implement procedures therein. This includes:

 

• Collaboratively develop plugins for the control system, so-called devices, that implement specific functionality or interface to hardware
• Write and execute tests for the software
• Design and implement user interfaces
• Participate in commissioning of the software
• Engage in code-review within the group

 

Currently enrolled Bachelor or Master Student in STEM field. The enrollment must be valid for the entire internship duration

 

• Available as of 1 October 2026
• Good command of English as a working language is a must
• Hands-on experience with the Python programming language is a must

• Remuneration: 250 € per month (currently enrolled Bachelor student) or 400 € per month (currently enrolled Master student) and, in addition to that, 10 € per day if the intern does not reside in the federal states of Hamburg or Schleswig-Holstein.
