The Spectroscopy and Coherent Scattering (SCS) instrument provides a unique opportunity to study the ultrafast science of quantum materials using advanced soft X-ray spectroscopy techniques at a high-repetition-rate X-ray free-electron laser (FEL) source. The installation and commissioning of a THz and mid-IR source at the SCS instrument is underway for first user experiments, which are planned for 2026.
To lead and support these efforts, the SCS group is looking for an Instrument Scientist in Ultrafast X-ray Science of Quantum Materials using THz/mid-IR sources.
