Mer information
As an Electronics Control Technician, you will support the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of the vacuum control systems that protect and monitor CERN’s accelerators. You will work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers, following established procedures and quality assurance standards. The role involves frequent interaction with contractors and CERN groups involved in signal cabling, IT networks, and electrical power infrastructure.
You will contribute directly to the large-scale upgrade of the vacuum control systems for the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), carrying out hands-on technical activities in workshops, surface buildings, and accelerator tunnels. The TE-VSC-ICM section is responsible for all vacuum control systems, vacuum interlocks, and monitoring tools across CERN’s accelerators and detectors. During Long Shutdown 3 (LS3), starting mid-2026 and lasting around three years, these systems for the LHC will undergo major modernisation. This is work you will actively support.
