Are you an enthusiastic and curious electromechanical technician looking for a challenging professional experience? If so, joining CERN’s ORIGIN programme may be the perfect opportunity for you. You will join the Machine Protection Section, which is responsible for energy extraction systems installed in CERN’s LHC accelerator complex, a target area and several test buildings across CERN’s sites. You will support the team and contribute to the testing and installation of new and upgraded electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment. All necessary training will be given.
Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria
- You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State. Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Croatian nationals, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in a technical or administrative field and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree. You can’t hold a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
