For our Detector group we are looking for a Data Scientist for Detector Calibration.
The Position
The main focus of the position is to:
- maximize the quality of detector data;
- in particular, by optimizing detector configuration with respect to different experimental techniques employed at European XFEL, and enhancing tools to calibrate and characterize them;
- contribute to extending and improving the European XFEL's detector calibration infrastructure;
- actively participate in scientific experiments and user support;
- liase with instrument scientists and other stakeholders inside and outside of European XFEL.
