Your team
MAX IV has recently secured funding to build TomoWISE – a new tomography beamline dedicated to advancing materials science for sustainability. To bring this vision to life, we are forming a specialized team responsible for turning the beamline design into a fully operational facility.
As a member of this team, you will collaborate closely with experts across both our Technical and Science divisions to plan, install, and commission cutting-edge infrastructure and equipment. The project will be led by the TomoWISE Beamline Lead Scientist, and the team will be part of the Beamline Office Group within our Science Division.
Would you like to work at one of the brightest lightsources in the world?
MAX IV is looking for an experienced engineer to join the TomoWISE beamline project. In this role, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and following up on the installation of infrastructure and components during the construction phase. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining beamline documentation throughout the build.
You will play a key role in the design and development of instrumentation, whether developed in-house or in collaboration with external partners. As the project progresses, you will be actively involved in equipment testing, commissioning activities, and documentation during the commissioning phase.
Once the beamline becomes operational, your responsibilities will extend to maintaining, further developing, and optimizing the instrumentation and sample environments, ensuring the beamline operates at its full potential.
