MAX IV is looking for an Electromagnetic Systems Engineer/Physicist to contribute to the development of new electromagnetic systems for MAX IV and MAX 4^U, with the opportunity to gradually take on increased technical responsibility for key accelerator components.

Your team

You will be working in the Accelerator Development group consisting of a wide variety of experts within the accelerator field, including accelerator physicists, high –frequency structure and magnet experts, and laser experts. The Accelerator Development team is a part of MAX IV Accelerator Division, which is responsible for developing and operating all accelerator-based light sources at MAX IV. This division is also charged with carrying out the major accelerator upgrade in the MAX 4^U project.

About the role

Electromagnetic systems are essential to the performance and development of the MAX IV accelerators. Their reliability and precision are key to stable operation and high-quality light delivery to our users. As part of MAX 4^U, several advanced accelerator systems will be developed and commissioned. We are therefore looking for an Electromagnetic Systems Engineer/Physicist who will play a key role in these developments while strengthening MAX IV’s in-house expertise and supporting our existing accelerator systems.
